Official Results of the 17th Golden State International Wushu Championships

All-Around Grand Championship Preliminary Results & Scholarship Awardees Announcement

At this year’s Golden State International Wushu Championships, a total of 28 outstanding athletes have emerged from fierce competition to be selected for the All-Around Championship Preliminary & Scholarship Program.

According to the competition regulations, the selected athletes are categorized as follows:

  • Contemporary Wushu: 12 athletes

  • Traditional Kung Fu: 12 athletes

  • Taijiquan: 4 athletes

These 28 athletes will each receive at least a third-tier scholarship and are qualified to register for the 2026 Inaugural World Wushu Open Championships All-Around Grand Championship Finals, as well as the International Wushu Scholarship Finals.

This recognition not only affirms the athletes’ comprehensive abilities, but also marks an important step toward the global stage. Congratulations to all selected participants!

Government Leaders Show Support, Dignitaries Gather for the Opening Ceremony

This year’s tournament received strong support from Chinese diplomatic missions abroad and various levels of government in California.

Cultural Consul Wang Wenhui from the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco and Director Ye Desheng from the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau led delegations to attend and deliver remarks at the opening ceremony.

Distinguished guests included California State Treasurer and Lieutenant Governor candidate Fiona Ma, State Senator Aisha Wahab, Santa Clara County Supervisor Otto Lee, Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor, Union City Mayor Gary Singh, City Councilmember Yang Shao, Cupertino Mayor Liangfang Zhao, former California Assemblymember Kansen Chu, and his wife, Mrs. Daisy Zhou. Many of them attended in person or sent representatives to offer congratulations and support.
